Lent Lunches on Thursdays at 12.30 pm.  Simple meal of soup, bread and cheese preceded by a short reflection on one of the four Beatitudes in St Luke's Gospel:
Luke 6 v 20 - 22.

LENT LUNCH AT THE METHODIST CHURCH (February 22nd)

Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God.

LENT LUNCH AT THE URC CHURCH (March 1st postponed to March 29th)

Blessed are you who hunger now,
    for you will be satisfied.

LENT LUNCH AT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH (March 8th)

Blessed are you who weep now,
    for you will laugh.

LENT LUNCH AT THE BAPTIST CHURCH (March 15th)

Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man.

The Good Friday Walk this year begins at the Methodist Church at 10 am and ends at the Roman Catholic Church for coffee and hot cross buns.  We will be giving out hot cross buns and leaflets on the way.

At 6.30 am on Easter morning, there will be an early service on Fairland Hill to which all are invited. If you would like to bring a flower, it will help dress the Easter Cross outside the URC church.
